• Message — your specific travel requirements

We also automatically collect a hashed (one-way encrypted) version of your IP address for rate-limiting and spam prevention. We do not store your raw IP address.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To respond to your travel inquiry within 24 hours
• To create a personalised tour itinerary based on your preferences
• To contact you via email, phone, or WhatsApp regarding your booking
• To improve our services based on inquiry patterns (aggregate, anonymised)

We do not sell, trade, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage

Your inquiry data is stored securely on Supabase (PostgreSQL database hosted on AWS infrastructure). Supabase is SOC 2 Type 2 compliant. Data is stored in the ap-south-1 (Mumbai) or nearest region. You can read Supabase's privacy policy at supabase.com/privacy.

4. Data Retention

We retain inquiry records for a maximum of 2 years from the date of submission, after which they are permanently deleted. If you wish your data to be deleted earlier, email us at thelostroute09@gmail.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request".

5. Cookies

This website uses only session cookies — small, temporary files stored in your browser to prevent form spam (rate limiting). These cookies:

• Do not track you across websites
• Contain no personal information
• Expire when you close your browser
• Are not used for advertising or analytics

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party tracking scripts.

6. Third-Party Links

By using the THE LOST ROUTE website and submitting an inquiry, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use this website.

2. Services

THE LOST ROUTE provides curated travel planning, trekking expeditions, spiritual journeys, and adventure experiences across Himachal Pradesh, India. All bookings are subject to availability, seasonal conditions, and confirmation by our team.

3. Inquiry & Booking Process

• Submitting the contact form is an inquiry only — not a confirmed booking
• A booking is confirmed only upon written confirmation from THE LOST ROUTE team and receipt of agreed advance payment
• Prices quoted are indicative and subject to change based on group size, season, and availability

4. Cancellation & Refund Policy

• 30+ days before travel: Full refund minus processing fees
• 15–29 days before travel: 50% refund
• 7–14 days before travel: 25% refund
• Less than 7 days: No refund (force majeure exceptions apply)
• Force majeure (natural disasters, government orders, health emergencies): Full rescheduling credit valid 12 months

5. Traveller Responsibilities

• Ensure personal fitness levels match the chosen trek/activity difficulty
• Carry valid government-issued photo ID at all times
• Follow guide instructions, local laws, and environmental guidelines
• Obtain personal travel insurance (strongly recommended)
• Disclose any medical conditions that may affect participation

6. Limitation of Liability

THE LOST ROUTE acts as a travel facilitator. We are not liable for injuries, losses, or damages arising from:

• Natural disasters, extreme weather, or acts of god
• Government-imposed travel restrictions or road closures
• Personal negligence by the traveller
• Third-party service failures (hotels, transport providers)

Our maximum liability in any circumstance is limited to the amount paid for the specific service.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, images, itineraries, and design — is the property of THE LOST ROUTE. Reproduction without written permission is prohibited.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Himachal Pradesh, India.
